Our worship this Easter
Easter is always a profound time. Here is what our Easter looks like in St Luke’s for 2019. You are most welcome to join us for any or all of these : )
April 18th Maundy Thursday 7pm
A time of Word, Sacrament and foot-washing, starting in the Whittingback Hall and ending in the Sanctuary with the stripping of the altar.
April 19th Good Friday 10am
A service of Morning Prayer for Good Friday, with readings, hymns and mediation.
Please note – no Easter Vigil to be held at St Luke’s this year.
April 21st Easter Day
Following the success of last year’s experiment, we repeat our sunrise service. This simple service starts at 7:30am and will last for about 45 minutes. We then have breakfast before our main celebration of Holy Communion for Easter Day starts at 10am.

It’s Messy Church – this Saturday at 4pm
It’s our Easter Special this week. We’ll be remembering Jesus’ love for us and all he won for us at the Cross.
As always we start at 4pm. Our meal follows at about 5.15pm or so. There is no cost. We are delighted for your company and always feel free to bring anyone along with you : )

We are applying for a grant so that we can install solar panels.
We have decided to go for it and apply for a grant, to see if we can install solar panels on our roof.
This application will make us carbon-neutral as a church.
There is a long way to go and we may not be successful, but we think it’s worth a try : )
